What is a PowerPoint party?
PowerPoint parties (also called PowerPoint Night) are a trend where each guest makes a short, silly slideshow and presents it to the group. Think “My cat is a government drone” with fake charts and dramatic pauses.
Ours is ready-made. You don’t ask guests to build slides. You present a classified 10-slide briefing, then they draw topic cards and get 60 seconds each. Same energy, way less prep.
How to host (step by step)
- Send the invite. Mark it TOP SECRET. Tell guests to come dressed as their favorite theory (or just wear foil). Print our 5×7 invite or text a photo of it.
- Open the slides. Google Slides or PowerPoint on a TV, laptop or tablet. Speaker notes have every host line.
- Present the briefing. Walk through five “theories” (birds, daylight saving, cats, the moon, missing socks). Laugh. Deny everything.
- Guest turn. Pass out topic cards. Each agent gets 60 seconds to pitch. No notes. No mercy.
- Vote and award. Ballot for Most Convincing and Tinfoil Hat of the Year. Hand out certificates. This briefing never happened.
